Muntjac buck

This beautiful beast was in the garden this afternoon, munching the hebe bush. He looks in peak condition, with shiny fur and good, firm flesh on him. Muntjacs don't have a breeding season. Does can produce young all the year round. I am hoping we might see the whole family in the garden soon.

We have them round here but they tend to stay in the nearby countryside. I would be horrified if I saw any in the garden; the damage to my plants!

Actually, it was very good. It only had a little nibble. The funniest thing was when it stood on its hind legs to try and reach the peanut feeder!
