More fox photos

The fox has got so cheeky, she is actually peering in through the patio doors and watching us eat. Talk about a scrounger. These photos were all taken on Sunday. Flad is not at all afraid of the fox. They were chomping ham only a few inches away from each other. I think they've made friends.

Fabulous! I would love to see a fox so close :-)

This poor creature has quite bad mange. I think that's why it's getting a bit dependent. Hope Flad won't catch it. I think it only spreads between dogs. It's called sarcoptic mange. Haven't seen it around for the last few days so it must be able to survive in between handouts!

Poor thing.

I remembered I had seen a fox up close about 10 years ago when Tilly chased one onto the marshes and when I caught up with them they were almost nose to nose and neither seemed to know what to do next. Wish I'd had a camera! It was all very quick though - once I'd grabbed Tilly the fox was off!

But to be able to look out into your garden and see one like that - wonderful :-)

It really is. There are farm fields beyond the garden so it's a haven for wildlife. I shall miss it when I move back to town, but I can still come here at weekends, if I'm allowed! Just read a very good story of yours in Fiction Feast (can't remember title and mag is downstairs, but I know I enjoyed it!)

Thank you for saying about the story - that means such a lot :-)
