Froglet

My partner spotted this teeny frog surveying the big, wide world from the edge of the container the watercress used to grow in (since removed to a larger one). I think he's grown from one of this year's tadpoles, which is great news because last year all the taddies got eaten by the fish.

This year we transferred the frogspawn to the watercress container to protect it and only released the tadpoles once they had grown legs. To get an idea of his size, just compare him with the pond skater on the lily pad.

Is that watercress container the rolled up leg of a pair of jeans?

Nope, it's a container specially for floating plants. It lets water in.

It's lovely you saved all those tadpoles. He's a little sweetie!
